My Opinion About Backstage24:
Probably like may people, I've always bee curious as to what really happens during the making of a porn movie. Many sites these days give us some insight by providing behind-the-scenes videos as part of their bonus package. However, Backstage 24 is all about porn movie-making.
There is a bonus site section, but you only get access to some free galleries and not to the complete sites. However, as a Backstage24 member, you do get discounts, which is good if you like hairy pussy, football and cat-fighting. Anyhow, a limited amount of content is free, just so you know.
You get 18 movies at the moment and they can range from seven minutes to nearly an hour long. The site is newly launched and as far as it goes there are updates every couple of days, which is great. You can stream Flash movies or download 1390kbps 720x576 Windows Media Videos and there are English subtitles. I wouldn't say that the movies particularly turned me on, but maybe they will appeal to certain people in this way. Mostly, I just got a kick out of the scenes, sometimes serious and sometimes funny, but very real. Obviously, there's hardcore action being shot, but it's always at a distance. Some films are really a lot of fun, or at least you can see that the actors and the production crew are having a lot of fun and there's particularly a lot of joking around when the guys aren't getting hard! One director comments that they might have to give one actor an erection injection if he can't get it up.
As much fun as the films end up being, I can see getting a bit tired of the concept after a while. I mean, it's great to see what's going on behind-the-scenes, but sometimes you just want to lose yourself in the fantasy and the nature of these movies doesn't allow for it. I wouldn't mind this so much if the final product of each movie was also available.
The site design is okay and you can sort the videos by date, model/set name or by popularity. However, I would have enjoyed some scene descriptions explaining the titles of the films that were being shot or maybe even some information about what the actors and crew do to achieve the sort of shots or moments that they are after.
Final Verdict:
Backstage 24 is an intriguing look into the world of porn-making, but I felt that more could be added to make the content all the more interesting. There's only a handful of movies right now, but the site is fairly new so it's to be expected. With updates every couple of days, it won't be long before the site is jam-packed. However, there aren't any extras of consequence with the membership and there aren't any complete finished porn products to see the end result and to get off on the finished product. Still, if nothing else, it's a fun site with a unique peak into the wild world of porn.
